“To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong.”

A postcard of cute doggies and a photo of Katharine Murta Adams

The above graphic is a collection of digital paintings of my rescue doggies and me (clockwise: Sparky, Chiquita, me, Macho, Bookie and Bobo Bubbly). I was photographed by my friend Charmaine Cruz at Into Life Photography.

Who am I?

I am a Visual Alchemist and Storyteller, as well as a Creative/UX Designer, Artist, and Illustrator. AND, a Mother of Dogs.

What does that all mean?

It means I love the magic of blending the technical with the creative.

I draw on my iPad, and design with Adobe Illustrator/Adobe InDesign/Figma; all while learning about SAFe Agile principles, tackling code, and being a creative rebel. I love learning. And storytelling.

And doggies. I love doggies.

I have spent years working as a Creative Designer, with expertise in creating and directing in-product media, designing and developing marketing material using Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma, as well as other software.

I possess strong knowledge of content engagement strategies to drive successful brand awareness and top-of-the-funnel customer journey mapping via various platforms.

I am also passionate about understanding users’ needs and leveraging design thinking principles to craft meaningful and innovative digital experiences.

I am certified in the Google UX Certification program (2022). I am also certified in SAFe as a Leading Agilist (2020) and as a POPM (2023).

See? I am a creative rebel.

My logo mocked up in a square business card

My personal branding logo is based on an ink drawing of Georgia O'Keefe I created when I was a student at Art Center. I also created a book, with a backstory, on design principles, using the Georgia graphic. I hope to recreate it in InDesign and post on the site. Stay tuned!
